Injury Rehabilitation
Modern return-to-play methodologies and corrective exercise models for elite football performance.
Biomechanics
The Nervous System
Normal training advice ignores the important role the autonomic nervous system plays in human performance. Sympathetic dominance increases muscle tone preventing optimal blood flow, movement smoothness, and elasticity. Athletes more than ever are glued to their phones, more anxious than ever, and severely have a hard time “feeling” their body. Otherwise known as proprioception, the 6th sense.
Force Absorption
Foot Functionality
Tendon Performance
Mitochondrial Function
Poor mitochondrial function leads to lower hormone levels, lower energy levels, and worse bone integrity. The mitochondria produces ATP, the energetic currency inside the body. If this engine isn’t running well then every system in the body will suffer, and injuries will be both more likely and harder to heal.
Sleep Quality
Specific Injuries We Solve
The pain is not the problem. It’s a clue.
Feet
Foot injuries are usually caused by dysfunction in the toes, extensor tendons, or plantar fascia.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Stress fractures
- Plantar fasciitis
- Bunions
Ankle
Ankle injuries are usually caused by an inability of the fascia and connective tissue around the ankle to stabilize properly at high speeds.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Ankle Sprain/Fracture
- Achilles Tendonitis/Tear
- Ligament Injury
Calf
Calf pain is usually caused by inability of the foot and ankle to stabilize properly leading to an overload on the calves.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Tight Calves
- Gastrocnemius Strain
- Soleus Strain
- Compartment Syndrome
Knee
Knee pain is usually caused by a dysfunction in the foot/ankle to stabilize properly and/or the hip is too weak to function at high speed leaving the knee the victim in the middle.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Patellar Tendonitis (Jumper’s Knee)
- ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) Sprain/Tear
- MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) Sprain/Tear
- Meniscus Tears
- Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (Runner’s Knee)
Groin
Groin and pelvic issues are usually caused by an inactive posterior chain leading to an over-engaged front chain.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Pubalgia
- Osteitis Pubis
- Sports Hernia
- Adductor Strain/Tendinopathy
- Tight Hip Flexors
Hamstring
Hamstring injuries are usually caused by unconscious muscle tension in the hamstrings resulting in an inability to elastically relax and contract smoothly at high speeds.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Grade 1 (Mild)
- Grade 2 (Moderate)
- Grade 3 (Severe)
Glute
Glute dysfunction is usually caused by under-stimulated fascial connections from the feet that are supposed to naturally activate muscle fibers in the glutes.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Weak glutes
- Glute strain
- Gluteal tendinopathy
Lower Back
Lower back issues are usually caused by inactive glutes and poor core function that leave the lower back vulnerable.
We provide injury rehabilitation for:
- Lower back pain
- Lower back stiffness
- Pelvic instability
