Footbath
One of the best things you can do to increase healing and tissue adaptation is a warm epsom salt footbath. It would be nice to get one that is made out of wood or ceramic but those are expensive and somewhat hard to find.
At least 20 minutes with 1 cup of epsom salt in water as hot as you can handle.
Heating/Cooling Bag
Whenever it comes to strained muscles, sprained ankles, or any other kind of injury, heat is the first tool to increase blood flow and speed healing.
This bag is extremely helpful to do direct heat placement via hot water inside the bag.
It can also be used for cold if it’s a hot summer’s night and you want to decrease body temperature to sleep better.
Epsom Salt
As mentioned above, epsom salt is really great to absorb topically through the skin to help with muscle soreness, fascial fatigue, and tissue adaptation.
